| Project Overview |
|
|
The Iroquois Handenosaunee are the
originators of Lacrosse, a medicine game given to them by their
Creator. Their culture and practices are guided by the seventh
generation philosophy, i.e., decisions should be considered for
their impact future generations. IFCAE is using a donation from
Nike, Inc. to support the startup of the Iroquois National Lacrosse
Social Enterprise Plan. This plan is designed to support the team
and their educational and community health goals. This includes:
1) Capacity for business and financial planning, 2) Develop business
structure appropriate to support the initiatives, 3) Leverage
traditional ways of doing business - raffles, etc, 4) Educational
support system for youth from high school to Onondaga Community
College to Syracuse University, 5) Ensure an environmental
foundation and integration to all objectives. |
