Since the early planning stages of the organization in the mid-1990s IFCAE has built a large network of hundreds of advisors and consultants, many of whom continue to help guide and build the organization. Board of Directors and Officers

Like many small organizations just starting out IFCAE's staff initially served as a founders Board of Directors.  As we grew we separated the roles, made sure there was oversight of the organization when people fill overlapping roles, and developed procedures to avoid conflicts of interests  Finding new Board members to volunteer their time is a challenge every nonprofit faces.  If you have an interest in serving on the IFCAE Board of Directors and helping us fulfill our charitable mission please review the responsibilities, we welcome your application.

IFCAE has had many volunteers and intern over the years that have helped our organization achieve success and we are greatly appreciative.  If you have an interest in helping we welcome your query.  Both volunteers and internships are unpaid.  The difference between the roles is that internships are typically organized for college credit through a college or university.  It's important to understand that IFCAE does not have a central office where you can work so you will need to work from your own office.  Sometimes arrangements can be made to work at the home offices of the Partners or whatever Visiting Scholars might currently be doing a project through IFCAE.  If you send a query about opportunities please let us know your background and what sorts of things IFCAE does that you would be interested in helping with.  Activities could range from research type experiences (e.g., data entry, library research) to helping with the daily operations (e.g., website design, legal work).
